The sera Koi Professional 12000 pond filter is modern and innovative in terms of function and design: space-saving and efficient, it cleans ponds with a maximum capacity of 20,000 litres, and koi ponds up to 12,000 litres.
It is not only built according to the latest findings in fluid technology, but also shines with its attractive exterior appearance.
The water passes through four purification stages: In the physical phase, the water is first treated with UV-C radiation, which reduces germs and algae. It then passes through a holding chamber in the mechanical cleaning stage, which consists of a curved stainless steel slotted sieve with a width of 200 µm. This is where not only the large particles, but also the algae cells pretreated and agglomerated by the UV-C radiation accumulate.
If there is a threat of algae bloom (green water), a fine filter sponge can be integrated under the slotted sieve in no time, which removes even single-celled algae from the pond water to be filtered. If the sponge is not cleaned in time, the water flows directly into the biological stage via a safety overflow. Here, the water is first spread on a Matala mat, enriched with oxygen, and then trickles onto the high-performance sera siporax pond filter medium, which is colonised by the filter bacteria. The cleaned water flows back into the pond via a dam.
