Stability and safety Buffers and ensures pH value Acts against biogenic decalcification Creates species-appropriate conditions (e.g. for African cichlids)
Carbonate hardness (KH) is one of the most important values of aquarium water.
Many fish species kept in freshwater aquariums prefer relatively hard water. In addition, KH acts as a buffer that prevents dangerous fluctuations in pH (including a drop in acidity).
For all community aquariums, the rule is therefore to maintain a KH of at least 6 °dKH (significantly higher for special cases, such as African cichlids). The well-being of the fish is thus ensured and the aquarium water proves to be particularly resistant and easy to maintain.
sera KH/pH-plus increases the KH precisely and sustainably to the desired value. The pH is also increased gently and, above all, stabilized safely.
