The sera PrefiX filter increases the filter volume of a downstream filter by up to 1.6 litres with two variable-use filter baskets. The non-drive filter is suitable, for example, as a pre-filter in case of turbidity, as a rapid filter in case of contamination or as a biological filter to increase the filter capacity of small external filters.
Using a 16/22 mm sera hose, the filter can be connected to a pump or external filter. It is also possible to connect several PrefiX filters one after the other. For fine-grained filter media, it is recommended to use sera filter media bags 1 or 2.
